[Even if the resulting total is at the low end of the estimate…the trust will be worth almost 10 times the combined assets of all 7,381 animal-related nonprofit groups reporting to the Internal Revenue Service in 2005.]
Even though the stipulations of her will have been largely criticized-how dare people send Trouble death threats!-this money could, if used correctly, make an enormous difference to dogs in need. It is an enormously generous gift, and one which all we former shelter dogs are thankful for. Kudos to her legacy.
